EFMC are proud to present this beautifully restored 1953 Bentley R Type
Affectionately named 'The Duchess' by the current owners mother the Bentley R-Type was produced between 1952-1955.
This exquisite example, was imported into NZ in 1965. The current owner has spared no expense bringing this magnificent British beauty back to her former glory, with $26k spent on the interior alone. A complete restoration exterior paint job was also carried out, including the chassis, as well as many mechanical maintenance upgrades make this car a great proposition for the discerning investor.
The front engined RWD platform utilises a 4.6 Litre straight six engine producing 130hp, coupled to a 4 Speed manual transmission. Due to the front bench seat the tiny gear lever is located to the right of the driver. The R Type was in fact the last manual Bentley car to be produced.
With adjustable suspension, automatic choke and foot primed lubrication system this car was ahead of its time. Rear tray table and foot rests will make sure your guests feel right at home.
Original toolkit is included (under drivers seat) as is factory torch under the bonnet and original tyre hand pump.
Fun fact: This car was used as a static and mobile prop in the yet to be released NZ Film "We were Dangerous"
Be quick - this won't last long at this price point.
