Description

TVR is short for Trevor, named after Trevor Wilkinson, the founder of the British Automobile company.

This British Bulldog is a brutal street legal race car.

This TVR Griffith 500 is built on a spaceframe chassis with a super lightweight fibreglass body. The roadster has the largest of 3 engine options, weighing a touch over 1000kg and powered by a 5.0 litre V8 it sounds as raucous as it performs.

340hp will see you reaching 100kmph in just 4.1 seconds and top speed taps out at 272kmph.!

The precursor to the Chimaera the Griffiths were built in smaller numbers, with just 288 in 1996 and only 2,582 Griffiths built in total.

260mm ventilated discs all round and independent double wishbone suspension with coil-over gas dampers and sway bars mean this car handles like its on rails, and can stop on a dime.

And as you can see its presented in the best colour possible for a car from the motherland, British Racing Green!

A perfect track car it is already fitted with a Sparco race seat, bonnet pins as well as an emergency electrical cut off and equipped with two fire extinguishers this set up promises an exhilarating ride.

Pared down for minimum weight there are no electronic interventions like ABS, traction control, or ESP. Even power steering and the sound system get the boot! You will never have irritating airbag issues as none are present.

No Aircon? No worries! The targa roof lifts our and rear folds out of the way for open top summer motoring.

TVR's are well renowned for their loud V8's - this one sounds even more outrageous with cherry bomb straight pipes fitted! Has to be heard to be appreciated.

The targa roof is in good condition, removes easily and stows in the boot.

Original handbooks are included.

Usual TVR quirkiness, temperature gauge has a tendency to fluctuate wildly, oil pressure gauge often not working, speedometer seems quite inaccurate ie: it is in miles but seems to read in kms, all adds to the fun!
